about
At just sixteen years old, Paytra moved to Brooklyn, NY from Bedford, Michigan to pursue her passion for music. Alone, with only a one-way train ticket, she set out to find the success she was looking for- but it was a bumpy road for a youngster navigating the New York music scene.
Paytra’s rap-like delivery and soul-pop sound set her apart from other pop artists while the experiences she’s had in life shape her lyrics- all from the relatable perspective of a spontaneous girl. Her unapologetic and energy-filled performances capture the heart of those who meet Paytra, while the honest lyrics expose her joy, pain, and love for life.
As a teen, she was classically trained on the piano and credits Alicia Keys, Rihanna, and Justin Timberlake as her inspirations to pursue a music career. At age 10, Paytra began writing and producing music, which led to her debut single in 2017, “Dangerous,” featured on iHeartRadio’s “The Beat.”
Paytra’s had work highlighted on MTV networks, Vlad TV, and the A&R music blog along with performances at Disney World’s Top Model of the Year, New York Fashion Week 2018, and IMTA Convention in New York City.
With more music in the works, there’s no doubt that Paytra’s fierce hustle is going to deliver the edgy pop-sound that she’s known and loved for.
lyrics
Verse 1:
When I give you that look
You know what I mean
I’m Dangerous
And I’m feeling kinda mean, uh huh
I’m so, I’m so, I’m so Sassy
I’m so
You got me feeling so
This beat got me
I’m feeling kinda, feeling kinda, feeling kinda
OW
Chorus:
Dangerous
I know you know
I’m not the one to mess with tonight
I’ll give you that sweetheart look
And an attitude 9’9”
I’m not sayin’ don’t talk to me
I’m just saying take care
I go sour to sweet real fast baby
Verse 2:
I don’t play, not at all,
I know what I want, and I want it right now
If I don’t ask you “What?”
Don’t tell me your opinion on my life
No, no, no, no x2
Chorus repeat
Bridge:
You know me
I do what I please
I’m a Dangerous, Dangerous one
Seems everybody, wanna be up in my way today
I’m tryna keep it all turned down
Tryna not be loud
So they don’t find out that I am
Chorus Repeat
